In response to recent events (or so it seems), Jack White's other band is countering with a release that will happen across formats and at the same time. That's 2 for digital releases and 1 for vinyl. Of course, my favorite formatting package is still the vinyl/mp3 combo.

Our ongoing dialog is growing with things to talk about and consider. I am excited about this release, I blogged about it, as you might have imagined.
Not entirely on topic, but it relates to indie rock in general. I'm referring, of course, to Entertainment Weekly's Top 25 Indie Albums of All Time!!!!
EW's list might elicit a response on this blog. Many of those albums aren't even the best some of those bands recorded much less the best of indie rock. Besides that, they included a bunch of records put out by bands while on major labels. Was Radiohead ever really an indie band.
Ooh. I feel a rant coming on. Thanks, Pizza.
The EW list is something special. It's almost as good as that Rolling Stone Indie Universe thing from last year. If you haven't seen it, it's worth checking out. EW might have been more informed, actually.
