I'm being lazy. Here's a list of the top-10 films Lucia should see as she grows up.
10. Breakfast Club - Angst, John Hughes, and class politics played out in a high school detention.
9. Heathers - Set in Worthington, Ohio, the not-so-popular girl gets even.
8. Harold and Maude - This is the greatest love story ever told.
7. Juno - She "watched" it through her mother's eyes.
6. Team America: World Police - Ridiculously funny take on stupid American nationalism.
5. Dave Chappelle's Block Party - Yellow Springs' own Dave Chappelle takes the marching band from Central State to Brooklyn. Erica Badu is hot.
4. Watermelon Woman - She needs to know that women, gays, and people of color have a place in film.

3. Royal Tenembaums - Everyone should know that someone else's family is more dysfunctional and corrupt than your own.
2. Heart of the Game - Strong girls winning and losing basketball games will make you cry.

1. The Graduate - This is my all-time favorite film. It's the Catcher in the Rye of movies.
Did I miss any?

I can think of a few you missed:
1. The Big Lebowski - possibly the greatest film ever made.
2. 2001: A Space Odyssey - ruminations on the meaning of humanity set within a sci-fi context.
3. Citizen Kane - set the template for how movies are made.
You forgot Up the Creek, Porky's, and Purple Rain - sound familiar?
Just kidding, of course:)
solaris (2002), directed by steven soderbergh.
don't forget virtually every danny boyle movie made...
i have to disagree with zach tho. i thought "star trek II: the wrath of khan" was terrible. v-ger in the first was much better. and when leonard nimoy began directing himself in the third one, it just got weird.
though j.j. abhrams star trek version was pretty immaculate.
