Thirty-Two Words: Brendan Canning was the featured artist in the second installment of the "Broken Social Scene Presents" series. However, it failed to reach the same heights as last year's release by Kevin Drew.
The Moment of Truth: I left this album alone for a long, long time. I originally found it almost unlistenable. I eventually revisited it mid-October in preparation for seeing BSS at the Note. I realized that songs like "Chameleon", "Hit the Wall", and "Churches Under the Stairs" reminded me of typical BSS songs. Also, "Antique Bull" is a Stars' song if I've ever heard one.
