Bright Eyes' new EP Four Winds is coming out next month. (Mine's pre-ordered.) Thankfully, Pitchfork has been continually feeding its readers leaks of Bright Eyes' tracks. The first was the oh-so-somber "Tourist Trap". Now, they've leaked the much more upbeat title track.
Personally, I prefer the more somber track. "Four Winds" reminds me too much of Bruce Hornsby and the Range with it's happy violin whine...well, except for the whole end of the world theme. Hopefully Oberst is still hiding a gem in this EP, because right now it doesn't get me too excite. But don't take my word, check for yourself.
